The maps below show the changes in a library from 1975 to the present. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

II. Bài mẫu

The maps illustrate the changes made to a library from 1975 to the present.

Overall, while the library has retained some original features, its layout has become more compact with the addition of several modern amenities, resulting in less open space.

In 1975, the library was relatively simple, with bookshelves dominating most of the central and bottom-left areas. A dedicated section for children’s books was positioned in the bottom-right corner, while a toilet was centrally located along the bottom row. The entrance was situated at the top center, flanked by a computer area to the left and a small section for new books to the right.

In contrast, the present library has undergone significant transformations. While the entrance remains unchanged, wheelchair access has been added, replacing the former new books area. The central bookshelves have been removed and replaced with a coffee shop and sofas. The new books section is now adjacent to and directly south of the sofas. Additionally, a large study area with tables and chairs now occupies the center, situated to the right of the sofas. However, the children’s books section and the toilet have remained untouched, preserving some aspects of the original design.
